1. Let the players play
Coaches do not need to be on the field of play during a game. If a child is hurt, then the referee may call the coach on the field. Parents do not need to enter the field during a match.
2. Don't Coach
Let the coach pick which players are to kick or throw-in the ball. Never tell the players where to stand on the field.
3. Be Mindful of the Ages
Not every kick, trip, push or fall is the result of a foul. Younger players are learning to use their bodies and may need reminders on occasion to take it easy, there is no need to whistle every little call.
Help instruct on the throw-in, corner kicks, but do not impart coaching strategy.
4. Safety First
There is no slidetackling or heading allowed in this age group. At the U10 level it is allowed. We don.t need anyone hurt, this is friendly, fun soccer.
